The new A-League season starts next week and i was just wondering if there were any other glory (or football) fans on here???
Not a fan but would like to know crowd figures
So would i, attendances have dropped over the past 2 seasons, mainly due to management issues of the pitch which have affected the club as a whole
So they don't maintain the grass - or the Stadium as a whole - looked ok for the Spirit
Rugby players (or supporters...) aren't as fussy as the princesses TQ1 ;)
Ok - not familiar with the protocols of this game at all - apart from the Oscar winning performances before the penalty that seem to win the game - do tell more Jargan about the ground etc..
The ground?? I was refering to the ownership issues that had plagued the glory since Nick Tana decided to sell his stake in the club half way through the first season of the A-League, the club was then taken over by FFA (Football Federation Australia) Last season the coach (Ron Smith) was only signed up 6-8 weeks before the season started with only half a squad up his sleeve, he then had to sign the other half when most of the proven talent in the country had already been signed by 6 other clubs (New Zealand Knights were just crap). Therefore leading to an EXTREMELY inexpeirenced side taking the field last season, results didnt go our way as a result. New owners kept getting lined up untill this a couple of guys (cant remember their names right now) from the mining sector bought the club promising to restore it to it's glory days from the old NSL, they kept Ron Smith on as coach and he had some time to put together a side, instead of the couple of weeks he had to do the job with last year. Some good pre-season results saw them last week play in the pre-season cup (although i'm not getting carried away) and hopefully that will lead in to the new season which starts this sunday. GO GLORY
OFF the pitch, I think Jargan meantQuote:

yea i sometimes go with my mate from school who plays soccer, they are good games and its alot of fun.
i go to about half of there games and if i go i sit around the bottom corner near the family stand.
i usually go to about half the games as well with a few mates, we generally stand in the shed. Good thing about most of the games being on friday night/sunday because then i dont have to worry about cricket running over or travelling from byford/cockburn to get there. Cricket finishes about 6ish and to make a 7pm kick off a pain in the ass even when i play at home
:iconrofl: :iconrofl: and people bag AFL on this site. Wheres Egan:confused:
i try not to bag other sports but sometimes i cant help it............. i am a sports fan, Rugby and Cricket a CLEAR
