Some very good signings for @thewesternforce. Young front row Tetera Faulkner and Wallaby front row Salesi Ma'afu. Both excellent additions.

Not a fan of Ma'afu but willing to give him a chance. Dunning must be going too.
That'd leave Ma'afu, Faulkner, Cowan, Longbottom and one of Ah-Nau or PAE (unless PAE is going back to the Reds).
Trouble up front
Jeeeeesussssssss help us.
Ma'afu is a load of lard and a terrible addition Graham. Uh. Makes me want to cry for front rows everywhere. Lazy sloth around the park, like a glob of play-dough at scrumtime.
:banghead:
Don't hold back, Robyn ! ;)
I'm really hoping I missed something that the Force brains trust didn't with this signing.
She knows her stuff.
Why doesn't the Force sign some decent players?
no one wants to come....playing the style of rugby Graham dictates... why JOC is going
ma'afu.....seriously?..... too big too, slow too immobile... this really is a BIG signing!.... a good signing?... im not too sure....
I want a multi-praise button, two fabulous points in one post. I'm alright with Pek and Longbottom running the front row, but Ma'afu is a disgrace.
Normie, I promise you, I'm only getting started. Only one person I hate more than Ma'afu, and it's Saia Faingaa. If he came, I'd find a new team.
This is going to be two very very long years :whatever:
i didnt think either were bad enough to be labelled tubs of lard.. but each to their own.
Graham couldn't hatch a plan if it blew in from the oppositions coaching box
They might be cheap. You'd certainly hope we didn't spend big on them. Ma'afu at least anyway. Faulkner is a decent option.
What happens if Cowan and Longbottom are injured at the same time?
These signings give us depth in a much needed area!!! Which if you look around the competition this year all teams sorely need. Ma'afu may not be the best but he is up to Super level and is a know quantity. I for one am happy with some the current signing sure there are better but they come at a price tag and going on previous experience this seems to be a stopping ground before heading off to the northern hemisphere.
Now has anyone gone and chucked a bucket load of cash at Digby and JO’C to sort out our backs????
But, SGR, is Ma'afu going to be content to sit on the bench and watch Longbottom play?
Dunning at least knew he was coming back from a serious injury which may have ended his career when he got here (even though he was only 30). Ma'afu is 28 and may be thinking that the guaranteed starts for the Force will put him back in Deans' thoughts. And the way we're playing suits him - one-out rugby with powerful, battering-ram ball carriers.
