Highlanders 7 - 0 v Sharks at the 16 min mark...
Sharks looking a bit shaky in defence for a change...
attack still looking dangerous though so im hoping the 'Landers can hold them out and keep up the attacking and counterattacking...:P

7 - 3 sharks penalty...
TRY HIGHLANDERS - 14-3. Vainikolo makes Steyn look like a bus stuck in first gear as he cruises around him. Quick ball and Newby sets another phase before the giant Newland ploghs his way over for a rare try.
Wilson Converts....
Keep the updates comming as I won't be home for another hour
Go you mighty Highlanders!
I'm sure the Sharks will come out strong in the second half. The highlanders will be very lucky if they can hold them out for the rest of the game..
PENALTY SHARKS - PIENAAR 14-6. Not the result they would have wanted but three points all the same. The Highlanders line-out is costing them dear at the moment.
14-11, cheating Sharks :(
TRY SHARKS - BOTES 14-11. Clever kick from Michalak and Murray gathers. Kankowski surges down the left flank and eventually Botes is on hand to finish it off, albeit from a missed tackle by Morland.
Game on again folks.

5yrds out for the Landers again... they seem to capitalise every time it gets near the line.
Dramatic end to the half as Newby hacks it off the paddock to bring to an end a thrilling half. Sharks could well have scored with the last play of the half but a lost ball costs them at the end. Well folks what a half of rugby that was, so don't go away as the second half promises more of the same.
guys thats it from me.. if anyone wants to keep up the scoring - im off to the pub! :D
17-11 to the highlanders at half-time.
With three points separating the 2nd placed Sharks from the 5th placed Force, a Sharks loss would be excellent news (though painful in the tippings).
Particularly as they still have the Waratahs and Crusaders to play
